The Hope Folder

We all have it. In our hearts, as little notes in our diaries, laptops, and in every step that we take each day. Yes, it’s that little thing called HOPE. It is what keeps us going. What keeps us fighting battles we are too tired to fight. It’s the letter in the bottle, found floating in the sea. It is the ocean rising to meet the full moon. It’s the hands folded in prayer. Hope is a friend who always believes in you. 

I have a Hope folder on my laptop. And a bigger one in my heart. 

The one on my laptop has whacky ideas and crazy thoughts. It has saved me many times when I found myself stuck and unable to write.  

We should all have one—a Hope folder filled with all the things that can be. Because who knows where tomorrow will lead? As long as we keep filling it up, we know there is someplace we can go when we are stuck, blank, clueless, or feel like the earth has been pulled out from under our feet.  

We should all have someplace to go. So what if it’s a place, a person, a saved folder, the scrambled thoughts in our diaries, or looking deep inside of us to find what we might have parked? We might surprise ourselves with what we find.  

At TTC, our Hope Folder is more than just a digital repository. It’s a testament to our relentless pursuit of creative excellence, a place where passion meets pragmatism. It’s where we store the seeds of ideas that, while not always blooming in their intended garden, have the potential to flourish elsewhere. 

We’ve all experienced the bittersweet feeling of creating a brilliant logo, a compelling piece of content, or a groundbreaking strategy, only to see it fall short of client expectations. It’s a disheartening reality that comes with the creative process.  

But at TTC our Hope Folder is a treasure trove where every rejected idea and every missed opportunity is not the end of that idea. We hold on to them for another day, for when the time is right. And we have lost count of the number of times those ideas have been the building blocks for spectacular success elsewhere.  

So before we look outside for hope, validation, or even support, let’s look within us. We are stronger than we think, and we have secret chambers of Hope Folders inside of us. It just needs to be found. Like ancient secrets hidden behind a forgotten door, waiting to be unlocked by the courage we hold within.
